Seller Terms & Conditions and Operations Policy

Last updated: November 2026

1. Registration & Account Eligibility

To list, market, or sell products on Ullumart, every seller must operate as a legally recognized business entity and meet all mandatory compliance requirements before onboarding:

  • Tax Identification: Active GSTIN matching your registered business name and primary pickup hub, along with a valid company PAN.
  • Business Information: Legal entity name, verified warehouse/pickup address, and direct administrative contact details.
  • Banking Details: Active commercial bank account under the registered trade/entity name and a cancelled cheque for payout verification.
  • Brand Approval & IP: Valid trademark certificates, brand authorization letters, or No Objection Certificates (NOC) for selling branded inventory.

2. Fees, Logistics & Settlement Cycles

All commercial transactions processed through Ullumart are subject to standardized fee schedules and payment timelines:

  • Referral & Commission Fees: Category-based percentage fee charged on the final value of each sold product.
  • Closing & Shipping Fees: Fixed closing fees per delivered order and weight/distance-based logistics fees.
  • Settlement Cycles: Payouts are credited directly to your registered bank account after order delivery, net of returns, commissions, and statutory deductions (TDS/TCS).

3. Order Fulfilment & Operational Standards

Sellers must adhere strictly to service-level agreements (SLA) to maintain account health and platform ratings:

  • Dispatch Timelines (RTD): Orders must be processed, packed, and marked Ready-to-Dispatch within the designated timeline.
  • Seller Cancellations: Stockout or pricing-error cancellations are strictly penalized and may lead to account throttling.
  • Quality & Authentic Listings: Only authentic, brand-new, and sealed items matching exact listing images and specifications may be sold.

4. Packing Evidence & Seller Protection Fund (SPF)

To safeguard sellers against fraudulent returns, courier transit damages, or wrong item swaps:

  • Outbound Packing Video: Sellers must record uncut, clear footage during item packing, capturing serial numbers/tags and outer shipping labels.
  • Return Inbound Inspection: Upon receiving returned parcels or RTO shipments, record an unedited opening video prior to breaking courier seals.
  • SPF Claim Eligibility: SPF claims for missing parts or return tampering will not be entertained without continuous video evidence.

⚠️ Customer Protocol: Mandatory Unboxing Video

To protect both sellers and buyers against false claims, transit damage, or missing contents, customers are bound by the following unboxing rule:

  • Requirement: A continuous, uncut unboxing video starting before breaking the outer seals and clearly displaying the shipping label is compulsory.
  • Cross-Verification: Customer claims regarding transit damage, wrong items, or missing parts will only be processed after comparing the customer's unboxing video with the seller's packing footage.

5. Account Suspension & Termination

Ullumart maintains zero tolerance for fraudulent behavior or compliance failures. Accounts will be permanently blocked or suspended under the following circumstances:

  • Providing invalid, fake, or forged GST, PAN, or banking documents.
  • Listing counterfeit, prohibited, or unauthorized branded items.
  • Intentional dispatch of incorrect, damaged, or empty packages.
  • Attempting to divert transactions off-platform or contacting customers outside permitted channels.
